CBT in the workplace

We offer a counselling to individual employees. Whilst the counselling is similar to our psychotherapy services, in that it is informed by a CBT perspective, it differs in that it is less focused upon the treatment of psychological symptoms and provides a problem-solving approach to commonly occurring workplace problems such as:
• Managing workflow
• Managing relationships with colleagues
• Returning to work after a period of absence
• Managing anger/anxiety

We deliver one or two day, workplace-based courses for supervisory level managers on:
• Managing staff for the first time
• Managing bullying in the workplace
• Managing staff through a phased return to work programme
• Supporting staff with enduring mental health problems
Our courses differ from courses provided by many other agencies in that they are delivered by trainers who are also practising CBT therapists.

You may also wish to contact us if you require a facilitator or mediator to help manage meetings or discussions within your organisation.

If you would like to refer a member of staff for counselling, or discuss how we might provide a course for managers in your organisation, please email Adam May (Adam@adammay.co.uk, or telephone our offices (01248 421015) and leave a message for him to contact you.

Subject to workload, Adam is normally able to respond to enquiries within twenty four hours.
